 Changing weather brings many diseases along, because the temperature.  Viruses thrive due to changes in the environment and these viruses later spread diseases.  There may be a sore throat, which can make it very painful to swallow food or water.  In this season, the body heat remains low, due to which it is difficult to recover from even simple diseases.  Therefore, it is advised to be careful during this season and avoid seasonal diseases.


Symptoms of the common cold

               The symptoms of the common cold usually appear within 1-3 days of exposure to rhinovirus.  These symptoms include runny nose, sore throat, cough, sneezing, mild headache and pain in the body.  Includes pain, malaise, and low-grade fever.

Prevention of Infection 

                It is common to have a common cold during the cold season.  This is because the dry and cool climate of this season provides favorable conditions for rhinovirus to thrive.  However , • the common cold can sometimes cause major problems.  A few precautions can relieve this difficulty.



Home remedies for cold patient

• When there is a sore throat, gargle with hot water by boiling honey or salt or neem leaves.  It helps in relieving soreness. 

 • Eat foods rich in vitamin C, such as lemon, orange, papaya, green leafy vegetables, carrot, amla and pineapple etc.  Vitamin C protects against infection and acts as a mild antibiotic. 

 • Boil 5-10 basil leaves, 1-2 black pepper and one inch ginger and add honey and take it in the form of a decoction.  They have antiinflammatory properties.  And this decoction helps in relieving congestion in the lungs.  Capsicum contains capsaicin.  It improves blood flow, stimulates mucus membranes and fights infection.  Include it in food.  Stay away from carbonated drinks.  Avoid pickles, canned and preserved products, flour, sugar, bakery products and fried foods.  ,  Steam with 2 or 3 drops of Eucalyptus oil.  It turns mucus into fluid and in wheezing and sinusitis (in this) the sinuses become inflamed and this is due to an infection.  ) helps to relieve  

• Drink a glass of warm water with lemon juice twice daily to boost immunity and get enough vitamin C. 

 • Do Pranayama regularly. 

 • If the asthma patient has a cold, then massage the chest and back with a mixture of hot mustard oil with camphor.  This gives quick relief in asthma.  

• Vitamin D levels may be low in people with severe asthma.  Even spending a few minutes in the sun can increase the level of vitamin D in the blood.

  • Stop consuming milk and milk products for a week or two.
